Accommodations: Kentucky Lake Vacation Rentals
Big Bear Resort offers a wide range of accommodations that cater to every need. Whether it’s a party of fishing buddies on a tight budget, a family vacation, a family reunion, or a romantic get-away, Big Bear Resort has what you need to make your trip to Kentucky Lake a fun and memorable experience. Surrounded by the majestic waters of Kentucky Lake, Big Bear encompasses 52 acres of rolling woodlands. This breathtaking location provides the scenic backdrop for secluded campsites or lakeside lodging in our cottages, chalets, townhouses and condominiums.
Pets are allowed! There is a $20 a day charge effective 2021 season. No deposit is required.
Resort Amenities
Big Bear Resort Units are Housekeeping Units. This means that we provide the following items.
- Fully furnished
- Equipped with cable TV
- Bath and Kitchen Towels which are exchanged every other day.
- Beach and Pool towels are NOT provided.
- The Laundromat is located on the back of the resort office building. Condos have washers and dryers.
- Each unit has a broom, mop and vacuum.
- Each unit has a full kitchen with microwave, stove with oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. We provide kitchen sink soap and dishwasher soap. The units all have Mr. Coffee Pots and the big units also have single serve Keurig pots.
- We do NOT provide condiments, paper towels or shampoo and body wash. All bathrooms have bar soap.
- Service animals welcome. Pets allowed in selected units. Please ask.
Chalets
Units #20B and 20C
Big Bear chalets offer a spacious, cozy, option that provides comfort and style for up to 9 guests. Nestled among the wooded slopes, these units offer privacy and comfort among the rolling landscape that reaches to the lake. The pool, marina and private beach are just a brief walk.
Woodland Villa

The two-bedroom villa, nestled within the woodlands of Big Bear Resort is a great place to get away for some peace and quiet. A living room fireplace adds to a tastefully decorated atmosphere. Marina townhouses offer a spacious and accommodating environment for you stay at Big Bear. Units will sleep 8-10 people (extra bed is a sectional sofa) and are great for families or groups seeking modern convenience in our resort atmosphere. Marina townhouses make a vacation with family or friends a memorable one.
Executive Cottage

Enjoy this spacious 4-bedroom lodge-style cottage at Big Bear Resort. UP to 12 people can sleep in roomy comfort, making this a great place for groups and large families. Perced on a scenic ridge overlooking the resort to the marine, a bedroom balcony makes waking up to Kentucky Lake a refreshing experience!
Fisherman’s Cottages
1 & 2 Bedroom Cottages
It’s almost like going back in time. These quaint vintage-Americana cottages are some of the original buildings created for the Big Bear Resort back in the 50s. These rustic concrete cottages sit among the wooded slopes and have housed guests here at Big Bear for decades. Each has resort amenitied such a pool, marine and private each just a
short walk away. It’s a lake cottage with tons of memories and modern amenities.

Log Cabin

Our original log cabin offers a rustic option for those who want something a little different. The log cabin sleeps up to 15 guests so it’s great for a large party of fishermen or vacationers who are looking for a throwback to the past.
Originally built in 1802 and restored to accommodate modern conveniences, guests in your party can enjoy all the comforts of home while reliving a bit of history. Nestled among the wooded slopes, resort amenities include pool, marina and private beach just a short walk away.

The Condominiums
Units 7B, 1B, 2B, Treetops
The Dens Condominium Units are privately-owned premier accommodations on the lake. Our luxury condos feature enclosed balconies or decks, fireplaces, spacious kitchens, elegant living rooms and some with Jacuzzi tubs. Did we mention that the view are superb? The Dens Condominiums truly make a vacation to Kentucky Lake a luxurious one.
