A GOOD CAUSE

ALS has affected many we know, including our brother-in law.

A good friend, Chris Stevens, has penned a book with all of the proceeds going to another friend's cause.  Jimmy Culveyhouse went to school at Notre Dame with both of us and has vowed to raise a million dollars before he dies of the disease.  The book is $15.99 and is on Amazon.  Click the link below to order and help spread the word.

Yearly slips for 2009 season are still available, but hurry they are going fast.

Rodney, Dave or Cody's Fishing Report

Largemouth Bass: The large mouths are very active this month they have started to move out to the ledges and can be caught on Carolina rigs and heavy jigs. The colors that they seem attracted to are green pumpkin and watermelon candy. The smaller and a few bigger ones are roaming around in the shallower water. The main key is GRASS. If you can find grass you can find fish!! Largemouth are also being taken on the secondary points and creek channel banks on crank baits, spinner baits, Texas and Carolina rigged worms and creature baits and jigs.

Catfish: Channel Catfish are still being taken on shallow rocky flats in the creeks and on the main lake. These fish are being taken on night crawlers fished under bobbers and on bottom rigs. Some Channel Catfish are also being taken along the old creek channels in the creeks and bays on bottom bouncing rigs baited with leeches and shrimp combinations.

Crappie: If fishing for this lustrous fish, you may find your self out of luck. There have been a few reports of crappie being taken from sunken brush piles in about 10-15 ft. throwing white and chartreuse twin tail grubs.

Bluegill: Bluegill are booming right now! Crickets seem to be the hot ticket. Reports are they have been catching them in deeper water in about 8-12 ft of water near the spawning areas

"Just a short note to thank you for your hospitality last week.  We had a great time, best cabin we have stayed in, best lake and docks!  What else can I say."
